Product Description
The RCU2S-CC8 extends all required signals for Panasonic PTZ camera installations over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable run up to 300 feet. The Head End (HE) unit connects to the codec or host and RS-232 control output; the Camera End (CE) connects to the Panasonic camera via the CC8 cable kit. The RS-232 control loop is bidirectional, carrying PTZ commands from the codec or control system and returning feedback where supported by the Panasonic camera.
Power delivery supports 5V and 12V DC at the camera end — no separate power supply required. The bi-directional audio channel carries microphone or intercom signal transport. UVC compliance ensures the Panasonic camera appears as a standard USB video device on any USB 2.0 host without proprietary drivers.
