The RCU2S-C2B6 places a Head End (HE) unit at the codec or USB host and a Camera End (CE) unit at the AVer camera location. A single CAT5e or CAT6 cable between these units carries USB 2.0/UVC video, bi-directional audio, and 5V/12V camera power, replacing multiple discrete cable runs with a single structured cabling path. Power delivery at the camera end eliminates the need for a separate local power supply at the AVer camera mount.
UVC compliance ensures the AVer camera is recognized as a standard USB video device on any USB 2.0 host on Windows, macOS, or Linux without proprietary drivers. The bi-directional audio channel supports microphone or intercom signal transport.
