Product Description
The RCU2S-BA8 uses a Head End (HE) at the codec or RS-232 control source and a Camera End (CE) at the camera location. A single CAT5e or CAT6 cable between these units carries USB 2.0/UVC video, bi-directional RS-232 serial control, bi-directional audio, and 5V/12V camera power. The RS-232 channel enables PTZ camera control commands from the codec or control system to reach the camera over the same CAT infrastructure used for USB video.
Power delivery supports 5V and 12V DC at the camera end. UVC compliance ensures the camera appears as a standard USB video device on Windows, macOS, or Linux hosts without proprietary drivers. The bi-directional audio channel supports microphone or intercom signal transport.
