This universal fiber camera extender carries HDMI video, Ethernet control, serial VISCA loop, 12V power output, ARC/analog audio I/O, and an HDMI distribution amp over fiber up to 300 meters. The RCF1-UNI is the appropriate choice for installations involving Sony PTZ cameras or other VISCA-compatible cameras where a purpose-specific RCF1 variant is not available, providing a single-fiber infrastructure for all signal types. It is suited for conference rooms, boardrooms, and commercial spaces where extended camera placement from the codec is required.
Product Description
The RCF1-UNI consists of a transmitter module at the camera end and a receiver module at the codec end, with all signals transported over fiber. HDMI video from a Sony or compatible PTZ camera transits the fiber with signal integrity at distances up to 300 meters. Ethernet control allows IP-based camera management and control to pass over the fiber link without a separate network drop at the camera. The serial VISCA loop enables PTZ camera control over VISCA for integration with third-party control systems, which is common in Sony PTZ deployments. A 12V power output on the receiver module can supply compatible cameras directly. ARC and analog audio I/O allow audio return and analog signals to share the fiber run. The built-in HDMI distribution amp on the receiver drives a primary codec input plus a secondary display simultaneously.
