Crestron 1Beyond Intelligent Video cameras are frequently deployed at the rear or sides of large rooms, well beyond standard HDMI cable distances. The RC5-1BC solves this with a camera-end module and a head-end module that carry video, Ethernet control, and camera power over one installer-supplied CAT cable run of up to 100 meters (328 ft). At the camera end, the RC5-CE module connects to the 1Beyond camera with the included short HDMI, UTP, and DC power cables, eliminating local power outlets at the camera position. At the head end, the RC5-HE module hands off HDMI video and network control to the codec, capture system, or control processor. As an RC5 Gen2 kit, the RC5-1BC adds native Cisco Control Hub integration, on-board diagnostics, and field-upgradeable firmware enhancements, and the Gen2 head end remains backwards compatible with existing RC5-CE camera modules. For BYOD soft-codec applications, the head end can be paired with the RC-SDA5+ BYOD camera bridge.
