The Sound Control Technologies RC4-URM is a commercial-grade HDMI camera extension kit supporting PTZ cameras from multiple manufacturers, including ClearOne, Crestron, Lumens, MaxHub, Minrray, and VHD models, as well as Poly RealPresence Group Series codecs. Using SCTLink™ technology, the RC4-URM extends HDMI video, RS-232 PTZ control, and 12V DC camera power up to 100 meters over a single CAT cable. The kit includes camera and head-end modules with a model-specific cable set, and no programming is required for standard PTZ operation.

The RC4-URM addresses installations where the AV integrator needs a single extension kit covering a broad set of rectangular-base PTZ cameras. Vendor-listed supported devices include the ClearOne Unite 200, Crestron IV-CAM-I12-B, Lumens VC-B30U and VC-TR1, MaxHub UC P20, Minrray UV430 and UV570, VHD VX110, VX710N, VX701L, and VX120, plus Poly RealPresence Group Series 300/500/700/G7500 codec environments. The RC4-CE camera module installs at the camera position and the RC4-HE head-end module installs at the codec or control rack; a single installer-supplied CAT cable between them carries HDMI video, RS-232 control, and 12V DC power up to 100 meters. Because control passes transparently, pan, tilt, zoom, and preset operation work exactly as they would with a direct connection. How does the RC4-URM differ from the RC4-UNI and RC4-USM?

All three are multi-manufacturer RemoteCam4 kits, but each includes a different cable set targeting different camera control and power interfaces. The RC4-URM covers rectangular-base cameras such as the Crestron IV-CAM-I12-B, Lumens VC-TR1, and VHD VX series; the RC4-UNI covers 8-pin Mini-DIN Visca cameras such as PTZOptics and Sony SRG models; the RC4-USM covers AVer PTZ/TR and similar square-base cameras. Check the compatibility list for each SKU before ordering.

Does the RC4-URM include a wall mount or rack shelf?

No. The base kit includes the extension modules, cables, and power supply only. The RC4-URM-K adds the RCM-URM wall mount, the RC4-URM-S adds the RC-RK2 rack shelf, and the RC4-URM-KS adds both.

Is the CAT cable included?

No. The CAT run between the RC4-CE and RC4-HE modules is supplied by the installer. CAT5e or better is recommended, with a maximum run of 100 meters.

Can the RC4-URM be used with cameras not on the supported list?
