The Sound Control Technologies RC2-001-0.4M is a 0.4-meter HDCI interconnect cable from the RemoteCam2 camera extension platform, used to connect a Polycom EagleEye Director to the RC2D-CE camera-end module in RemoteCam2-Director installations. It is the factory replacement cable for RC2 kits in conference room and commercial video conferencing systems. Integrators maintaining legacy Polycom camera extension installations can use this cable to restore the camera-side HDCI connection without sourcing a complete kit.
Product Description
RemoteCam2-Director extends a Polycom EagleEye Director camera up to 300 feet from an HDX or Group Series codec over installed CAT5e/CAT6 cabling. At the camera location, the RC2-001 cable carries the HDCI connection between the EagleEye Director and the SCT RC2D-CE camera module, which provides camera power, control, and component video back toward the head end. SCT documentation for the RC2-Director kit lists RC2-001 alongside RC2-101, RC2-120, and PPC-002 as the kit-specific cable set. The 0.4-meter length keeps the camera-end connection short and tidy where the camera module mounts adjacent to the camera. This is an SCT factory cable built for the RemoteCam2 platform; it is not a generic HDCI patch cable.
