Built around an 18-inch woofer with a 4-inch voice coil housed in a bass-reflex enclosure constructed from exterior-grade plywood, the PL-SUB18 delivers up to 138 dB peak SPL and extends usable bass response to 35 Hz (–6 dB). The enclosure features integrated retractable rigging hardware, allowing arrays of up to 10 PL-SUB18 units — or combined arrays of 3 PL-SUB18 plus 10 PL-LA12 line array elements — to be flown safely. The input cup is IP65-rated and accepts dual Speakon NL4 connectors plus a 4-pole Euroblock, ensuring flexible wiring and a weatherproof seal. When deployed in pairs or larger groupings, the PL-SUB18 supports cardioid bass configurations via Q-SYS processing, allowing installers to reduce rear-firing energy and maximize front-of-house coverage.
