Product Overview
The QSC CX-Q 8K4 is the highest-power four-channel model in the CX-Q family of Q-SYS network amplifiers, with an 8,000 W power supply and Low-Z, 70 V, and 100 V direct drive on every channel. It is the right selection for large-format distributed audio, high-SPL main arrays, and subwoofer drive where the 4K4’s ceiling is insufficient. As a native Q-SYS component, it integrates into Q-SYS Designer Software for routing, processing, monitoring, and fault reporting, and shares the FlexAmp and FAST flexibility of the rest of the four-channel lineup.
Product Description
Built on QSC’s PL380 PowerLight platform with a 5th-generation Class-D hybrid powertrain, the CX-Q 8K4 delivers high-voltage and high-current operation with excellent thermal performance. FlexAmp distributes customized output levels per channel from a large shared reserve, while FAST (Flexible Amplifier Summing Technology) bridges, parallels, or combines channels for higher-voltage or higher-current loads — useful for subwoofers, delayed arrays, and high-SPL fill. Four mic/line inputs with +12 V phantom power provide additional Q-SYS on-ramps at the amplifier, and eight bi-directional GPIO connections enable third-party device control without a separate processor. A universal switchmode supply with active power factor correction and multi-stage sleep modes maintains efficiency across global line voltages.
