The Sonance PowerZone Connect 1008D is an 8-channel, 1RU amplifier delivering 1000W of total system power with built-in Dante audio-over-IP networking. Each of the 8 channels on the PowerZone Connect 1008D outputs 125W at 4 or 8 ohms, or the unit can be set to 4 channels at 250W for 70V/100V high-impedance zones, all from a single 1RU chassis. As a Sonance PowerZone amplifier, it includes a Dante Ultimo chip with 4x4 connectivity so it can receive networked audio channels directly from a Dante source, DSP processor, or matrix switcher over standard network cabling. Full-matrix DSP configuration happens through the built-in PowerZone Control web application, and S/PDIF digital input and output remain available for non-networked sources. Configurable GPIO supports wall controllers and building automation integration. This amplifier is well matched to installations already running commercial audio amplifiers on a shared Dante backbone. A 5-year warranty covers the unit.
