The Peerless-AV IWB600-WB is a dedicated wall mount designed to position SMART Board 600 and 800 series interactive whiteboards over existing chalkboards or marker boards, enabling classroom and boardroom upgrades without removing original writing surfaces.
Product Description
The IWB600-WB was developed specifically to address the practical challenge of integrating large-format interactive whiteboards into spaces that already have permanent chalkboards or dry-erase surfaces. Rather than requiring the removal or replacement of existing boards — an often costly and disruptive process — the IWB600-WB mounts over the top, allowing the interactive board to be installed in front of the existing surface while preserving both options for the room.
The mount supports both horizontal and vertical screen positioning and is compatible with the 87"–94" SMART Board SB685 and SB690 models. Its straightforward assembly design requires only a single installer, reducing labor requirements during deployment. The mount is rated for up to 50 lb of load and carries VESA compliance, confirming standardized mounting hole pattern support.
All mounting hardware is included in the box, covering wall plate, upper and lower cross supports, vertical supports, bumper brackets, and all associated fasteners. The IWB600-WB is manufactured in the United States and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty, making it an appropriate long-term solution for K–12, higher education, and corporate boardroom environments.
