The Peerless-AV AEC0507 is a black adjustable extension column spanning 5 to 7 feet, engineered to drop-mount flat panel displays, projectors, and digital signage appliances from standard or tall cathedral ceilings, with a 500 lb load capacity, lockable height adjustment, and internal cable management.
Product Description
The AEC line from Peerless-AV covers installation scenarios from short 6–9" drops to long 10–12’ runs from tall cathedral ceilings. The AEC0507 addresses the common 5–7’ range in black aluminum—a lightweight material that still meets the 500 lb load rating required for exhibit, retail, and digital signage deployments.
Height adjustment uses a slotted design: the column slides to the desired length, and once positioned, a locking mechanism secures it in place. The incremental adjustment approach gives installers control over the final drop length without cutting or modifying the column. After the height is locked, the cylindrical aluminum profile routes cables internally, keeping signal, power, and data runs concealed from view along the full length of the column.
The AEC0507 is compatible with flat panel displays, projectors, and digital signage appliances, and works with ceiling plate hardware for wood joist and structural ceiling installations. The column is RoHS certified, aluminum construction, lightweight at 8.40 lb, and carries a 5-year limited warranty.
