The Peerless-AV IB14X9-W is a white in-wall enclosure that provides a clean, recessed housing for power outlets and AV components behind flat panel displays, with flexible mounting options to accommodate a variety of wall construction types.
Product Description
The IB14X9-W in-wall box is designed to conceal power receptacles and low-voltage AV cabling behind wall-mounted displays, producing a finished look that eliminates visible cords and surface-mounted conduit. The removable trim ring accommodates installation either before or after drywall is hung, giving installers the flexibility to sequence the work as the project requires. An adjustable trim ring handles drywall thickness from 3/8" to 3/4", covering the range of standard construction materials.
Mounting options are notably flexible. The box can be secured between 16" stud centers, to a single stud, or directly into a drywall opening when stud placement does not align with the display location. Removable mounting plates allow an installer to complete all wiring terminations outside the box before final placement, reducing the time spent working in tight wall cavities. Integrated cable tie locations keep internal cabling organized once the box is installed.
Multiple conduit knock-outs are provided for 3/4", 1.0", 1.25", and 1.5" conduit, and the box accommodates up to four single-gang outlets when used with RACO 420 gang boxes or equivalent. The IB14X9-W carries a UL 2416 listing and RoHS certification, with a 5-year limited warranty.
