The Panamax MOD-AT2 is a modular signal protection module for MaxMOD-compatible Panamax base units, providing surge suppression for up to 2 analog telephone lines. It supports RJ-11, RJ-14, RJ-45, and 110 punchdown connectors for installation flexibility, and is DSL modem compatible.

Product Description

The MOD-AT2 plugs into the modular expansion bay of a compatible Panamax MaxMOD base unit, adding 2-line analog telephone surge protection alongside the base unit's AC and other signal line protection. It protects pins 3, 4, 5, and 6 of an RJ-45 connection — covering a single phone line via RJ-11 (2-wire) cord or dual-line via RJ-14 (4-wire) cord. Metallic and longitudinal suppression modes address differential and common-mode transients on the telephone pairs. The 260V clamping level and 30 pF capacitance are appropriate for both standard POTS and DSL modem lines. The fuseless, auto-resetting design requires no manual reset after a surge event. Eight suppression modes total provide comprehensive transient coverage for telephone wiring entering an AV rack or equipment enclosure. Available at Creation Networks.
