The Panamax MOD-DBSTV is a modular signal protection module for MaxMOD-compatible base units, providing surge suppression for two satellite lines, one CATV coaxial line, and one telephone line in a single module. It is designed for AV rack installations with both satellite and cable TV signal inputs that need protection from transient surges traveling along those lines.

Product Description

The MOD-DBSTV plugs into the modular expansion bay of a compatible Panamax MaxMOD base unit, expanding its signal line protection to cover satellite TV, cable TV, and phone lines without needing separate inline suppressors for each. The coaxial section handles frequencies from 0 MHz to 2.2 GHz with less than 0.5 dB insertion loss, making it transparent to current satellite and broadband cable signals. Female F-connectors are used for all coaxial connections. The telephone section protects one RJ-11 pair (pins 4 and 5) with metallic and longitudinal suppression modes at a 260V clamping level, suitable for DSL modem lines or pay-per-view phone ports.
