The Panamax MB1500 rack mount UPS is a 1500VA uninterruptible power supply, voltage regulator, and power conditioner built for commercial AV equipment racks. Designed for AV integrators managing critical installations, it delivers true sine wave battery backup with AVM Automatic Voltage Monitoring to protect sensitive electronics from power anomalies. The MB1500 supports commercial AV rack power management across conference rooms, boardrooms, and house of worship systems where unplanned power loss would disrupt operations or damage equipment. An optional BLUEBOLT-CV3 IP card (sold separately) adds BlueBOLT remote power management AV capabilities for cloud-based monitoring and control.

Product Description

The Panamax MB1500 integrates battery backup, power conditioning, and voltage regulation into a single rack-mount UPS chassis rated at 1500VA / 900W. Its true sine wave output protects equipment that requires clean power during battery mode — processors, amplifiers, and display controllers that can malfunction with modified sine wave output will operate correctly on the MB1500's output. AVM (Automatic Voltage Monitoring) continuously monitors incoming line voltage and automatically disconnects power if voltage rises or falls outside safe operating parameters, then reconnects once the line stabilizes. This non-sacrificial Protect or Disconnect architecture means the unit does not degrade over time the way MOV-based surge protectors do.

The MB1500 provides 8 outlets organized into four programmable critical load management groups, allowing integrators to sequence power-up and power-down of different equipment zones — projectors, processors, amplifiers, and network gear can each occupy their own outlet group. The built-in IR output controls enable the MB1500 to signal projection equipment to initiate a proper bulb cool-down cycle before power is removed, protecting expensive lamp-based projectors from premature failure. LiFT (Linear Filtering Technology) reduces EMI/RFI noise on all 8 outlets, keeping audio and video signals free of interference caused by other rack equipment sharing the same circuit.

At full load the MB1500 provides approximately 12 minutes of battery backup runtime; at half load, approximately 32 minutes. Runtime can be extended significantly — up to 4x — with the addition of the BATT1500-EXT external battery extension pack (sold separately). For installations requiring remote management, the BLUEBOLT-CV3 IP card (sold separately) plugs into the MB1500's expansion slot and connects the unit to the BlueBOLT cloud platform, enabling outlet scheduling, power cycling, energy monitoring, and automated reboot of network equipment from any web browser. The MB1500 also includes RS-232 with open source protocol for integration with control systems.
