Product Description

The M8-EX is built around Panamax's patented Protect-or-Disconnect circuit, which monitors line voltage continuously and disconnects all outlets if voltage rises above 144 VAC or drops below 90 VAC — conditions that can damage power supplies and audio/video processors over time. All 8 AC outlets are transformer-spaced to accommodate wall-wart power adapters, and all are filtered and surge-protected. The 1,650-joule single-pulse energy dissipation rating reflects substantial capacity to absorb transient events from lightning-induced surges or utility switching. Peak impulse current handling of 52,000A aligns with UL 1449 third-edition test standards.
