The M4LT-EX protects four transformer-spaced AC outlets with Panamax's full suite of power management features: 52,000A peak impulse current handling, 1ns response time, automatic Protect-or-Disconnect voltage monitoring, and EMI/RFI noise filtration. The Protect-or-Disconnect circuit watches for over-voltage (shutoff at 144 VAC) and under-voltage (shutoff at 90 VAC) conditions, disconnecting all outlets when line voltage falls outside safe operating parameters. For signal line protection, the M4LT-EX provides in/out RJ-11 telephone protection on a single-pair (3,4) circuit with a 260V clamping level, and RJ-45 CAT5e LAN protection with all 8 pins protected at a 62V clamping level — guarding network switches, VoIP phones, and other IP-connected AV devices from surges entering through data lines. The 8-foot captive power cord with flat-profile plug allows the unit to be positioned flush against walls or furniture without protruding from a standard outlet. All four outlets are filtered and surge-protected with the same energy dissipation capacity as the larger M8-EX, making the M4LT-EX an appropriate choice where outlet count is limited but protection requirements remain high.
