Product Overview
The Panamax C3-IP BlueBOLT power conditioner is a compact, 12-amp IP-enabled power conditioner and sequencer with three individually controlled outlets designed for discrete commercial AV deployments where rack space is unavailable or impractical. The C3-IP connects to the facility LAN to deliver full BlueBOLT remote outlet control AV rack capability — including scheduling, power sequencing, and automated device reboot — in a slim form factor that mounts behind flat-panel displays, inside structured wiring enclosures, or on the rear of rack cabinets. Currently available at a reduced price, the C3-IP provides IP power management AV integrator functionality in the smallest Panamax footprint. AVM Automatic Voltage Monitoring and Protect or Disconnect surge protection guard connected equipment from voltage anomalies.
Product Description
The C3-IP addresses a common challenge in commercial AV: equipment locations where a full rack-mount power conditioner is not practical but IP-managed power protection is still required. Behind-display media player installations, structured wiring panels, small equipment closets, and rack-rear mounting positions all benefit from the C3-IP's slim 7.35" x 5.5" x 1.58" profile. Integrated mounting brackets allow the C3-IP to be secured to walls, rack-rear panels, or enclosure walls without custom fabrication. The 0.5-meter IEC power cord keeps the installation tidy in tight spaces.
All three outlets are individually controlled through the BlueBOLT cloud platform. Once connected to the facility LAN via Ethernet, the C3-IP registers at mybluebolt.com, granting integrators browser-based access to each outlet from anywhere. Power sequencing — the ability to turn outlets on in a specified order at timed intervals — is built into the BlueBOLT interface, allowing the C3-IP to manage startup sequences for displays, media players, and amplifiers without requiring a separate control system command. Scheduled power cycling can turn equipment off at night and back on in the morning automatically, reducing energy consumption and wear on connected gear.
Protection uses Panamax's Protect or Disconnect technology: AVM monitors line voltage continuously and disconnects all outlets if voltage rises above 140V (over-voltage) or falls below 90V (under-voltage), reconnecting automatically when the line returns to a safe range. Surge protection is rated at 1680 Joules energy dissipation and 12,000A peak impulse current, with a UL 1449 Voltage Protection Rating of 500V (L-N). Standard EMI/RFI filtration is applied across all three outlets. The resettable thermal fuse protects against overload without requiring component replacement. The C3-IP operates on 120V AC 50/60 Hz and is rated for a total load of 12A across all three outlets.
Key Features
- Compact Form Factor — 7.35" x 5.5" x 1.58" profile fits behind flat-panel displays, in structured wiring enclosures, and on rack-rear panels.
- 3 Individually Controlled Outlets — Each outlet independently switchable via BlueBOLT; supports individual device management and power sequencing.
- Built-In BlueBOLT IP Management — Remote outlet control, scheduling, power sequencing, and automated reboot via the BlueBOLT cloud platform.
- 12A Total Capacity with Circuit Breaker — Resettable circuit breaker provides overload protection without requiring fuse replacement.
- AVM Automatic Voltage Monitoring — Disconnects at 140V (over) or 90V (under); reconnects automatically when voltage is restored to safe range.
- Protect or Disconnect Surge Protection — Rated 1680 Joules energy dissipation; 12,000A peak impulse current; 500V VPR (UL 1449 L-N).
- Standard EMI/RFI Filtration — Noise filtration on all three outlets reduces interference to connected AV equipment.
- Power Sequencing — Outlets can be programmed to turn on in sequence with configurable delays for proper AV system startup.
- Integrated Wall-Mounting Brackets — Mounts to walls, rack panels, or enclosure surfaces without additional hardware.
- 0.5M IEC Power Cord — Short cord suits tight installation spaces; connects to standard IEC power sources.
- Thermal Fusing — Provides additional protection against fault conditions.
Typical Applications
- Behind-display media player and AV source power management in conference rooms
- Structured wiring enclosure power control for boardroom AV systems
- House of worship AV systems with distributed display locations
- Commercial meeting spaces with non-rack AV equipment locations
- All-hands rooms with under-desk or behind-panel AV equipment
- Training rooms with distributed AV gear requiring remote power management
- Any commercial AV installation where rack-mount power management is not feasible

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does BlueBOLT work on the C3-IP?
Once the C3-IP is connected to the facility LAN via its Ethernet port and registered at mybluebolt.com, each of the three outlets can be individually switched on or off from any web browser or the BlueBOLT app. Integrators can also set scheduled on/off events, configure power sequencing (turning outlets on in a set order with time delays), and enable automated reboot of network devices when a connectivity ping fails — all without requiring physical access to the unit.
Q: Does BlueBOLT require a subscription fee?
Panamax BlueBOLT 2.0 does not require a paid subscription for core remote management functions. The C3-IP includes BlueBOLT access. Check mybluebolt.com for current service terms.
Q: What happens if the network connection is lost?
If the network connection is lost, the C3-IP continues to supply power to connected equipment in its last outlet state. All local protection functions — AVM voltage monitoring, surge protection, and EMI/RFI filtration — continue operating without interruption. BlueBOLT remote control resumes automatically when network connectivity is restored.
Q: Where can the C3-IP be physically installed?
The C3-IP is designed for discrete installations where rack-mount equipment is impractical. Its slim profile and integrated mounting brackets allow it to be secured behind flat-panel displays, inside structured wiring enclosures, in AV furniture, or on the rear panel of rack cabinets. It is not intended for standard 19-inch rack-mount installation.
Q: Does the C3-IP support power sequencing?
Yes. BlueBOLT allows the three outlets to be configured for power sequencing — turning on in a specified order with programmable time delays between each outlet. This is useful for AV system startup sequences where a display must power on before a media player, or an amplifier must power up after a processor.
Q: What is the surge protection rating of the C3-IP?
The C3-IP carries a UL 1449 Voltage Protection Rating of 500V (L-N), 1680 Joules energy dissipation, and a 12,000A peak impulse current rating. Protect or Disconnect ensures the unit removes power from connected equipment if a surge exceeds its protection capacity, then reconnects when the power line is safe.
