The Panamax MD2-TL is a 2-outlet direct plug-in surge protector with combined telephone and LAN (10/100 BASE-T Ethernet) signal line protection. Its compact form factor plugs directly into a wall outlet, making it practical for desktop or office AV equipment that needs AC surge suppression alongside network and phone line protection in a single unit.

Product Description

The MD2-TL provides two filtered and surge-protected AC outlets at 1,350 joules with a 60,000-amp peak impulse current rating. Panamax's Protect or Disconnect circuitry completely disconnects AC power during a catastrophic surge event. A shared RJ-45 jack handles both telephone and LAN signal line protection — the telco side suppresses a 2-wire phone pair at 260V clamping level, while the LAN side protects pins 1, 2, 3, and 6 at a 7V clamping level for 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet compatibility. RFI/EMI filtration circuitry on the AC outlets provides clean power. Two diagnostic LEDs indicate protection and ground status. The thin 1.5-inch depth profile keeps the unit flush at the wall.
