Product Description

The MD2-C plugs directly into a 15-amp wall outlet and provides two filtered, surge-protected AC outlets alongside a coaxial input/output for CATV, satellite, or antenna signal lines. The coaxial section uses female F-connectors and supports frequencies from 0 MHz to 2.2 GHz with less than 5 dB insertion loss and a 75V clamping level — appropriate for protecting cable modems, satellite receivers, and over-the-air tuners from transients that enter through the antenna or coax feed. AC protection uses Panamax's Protect or Disconnect circuitry at 1,350 joules and a 60,000-amp peak impulse current rating, with sub-nanosecond response time. The 1.625-inch depth profile keeps the unit flush at the outlet. RFI/EMI filtration on the AC side attenuates power line noise. Compliance with C-UL (UL 1449) is confirmed.
