The Panamax MD2 is a 2-outlet direct plug-in AC surge protector that mounts directly to a standard wall outlet. It provides AC-only surge suppression with Panamax's Protect or Disconnect circuitry and RFI/EMI filtration, offering a reliable base-level power protection solution for AV equipment, computers, or other electronics at a location without a power strip.

Product Description

The MD2 plugs directly into any standard 15-amp wall outlet and provides two protected AC outlets — both filtered and surge-protected. With 1,350 joules of single-pulse energy dissipation and a 60,000-amp peak impulse current rating, it handles significant transient events. Panamax's Protect or Disconnect circuitry responds in under 1 nanosecond and, on a catastrophic surge such as a lightning strike, completely severs AC power to connected equipment rather than allowing a degraded suppressor to pass damaging voltage. The 1.5-inch depth profile keeps the MD2 low-profile at the wall. Voltage protection meets UL 1449 3rd Edition at L-N 400V, L-G 500V, and N-G 400V.
