Product Description

The VT-EXT12 distributes 12 AC outlets along its steel housing, with 4 of those outlets transformer-spaced to handle bulky wall-wart adapters without blocking neighboring receptacles. The heavy-duty 14 AWG, 10-foot detachable power cord connects to an upstream power conditioner or branch circuit, with a security retention bracket on the cord connection preventing accidental disconnection during rack servicing. A 12A resettable circuit breaker provides load protection and eliminates fuse replacement after an overload trip. Plastic spacers in the mounting clip hardware electrically isolate the strip from the rack frame, preventing chassis-to-rack ground loops that can introduce hum into audio systems. The VT-EXT12 can be deployed as a standalone PDU connected directly to a wall circuit or as an extension hanging off an existing Panamax or Furman power conditioner — in the latter configuration it passes through all filtering and protection from the upstream unit.
