The Middle Atlantic UPX-RLNK-1000R-8 is a NEXSYS 1000VA online rackmount UPS combining battery backup with a built-in RLNK (Remote Link) network-controlled PDU and 8 individually switched outlets. The RLNK interface enables IP-based outlet switching, load scheduling, and power sequencing without a separate PDU or network card.
Product Description
The UPX-RLNK-1000R-8 uses an online double-conversion topology, which means connected equipment always runs from the inverter regardless of utility power quality. This eliminates transfer time during outages and provides the highest level of isolation from power disturbances — important for sensitive digital audio and video processing equipment. The 1000VA / 900W capacity is suited for smaller AV racks, network closets, and broadcast sub-racks.
Each of the 8 outlets is individually addressable via the RLNK network interface, allowing operators to reboot hung devices, sequence power on startup, or shed non-critical loads remotely without dispatching a technician. The RLNK module also provides outlet-level current metering, so integrators can monitor individual device draw and receive email or SNMP alerts for overload conditions. A front-panel LCD display shows runtime estimate, load percentage, input voltage, and battery status at a glance.
