The NETGEAR XS724EM is a 24-port 10G/multi-gigabit Plus switch with two 10G SFP+ uplinks, built for high-bandwidth commercial AV and SMB networks. The XS724EM gives AV integrators dense 10G connectivity with essential management at a Plus-switch price point. Each of the 24 copper ports auto-detects 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G, delivering each device its full speed instead of downgrading sub-10G devices to 1G as standard 10G switches do. Ports run 2.5G/5G over existing Cat5e and full 10G over Cat6A, reducing recabling costs. Two shared 10G SFP+ combo ports add fiber or copper-module uplinks to the network core.

The 480Gbps fabric forwards traffic at wire speed with a 32K MAC address table, jumbo frame support up to 9K, and up to 240 Mpps forwarding. Plus management adds port-based and 802.1Q VLANs, port-based and 802.1p/DSCP QoS, static and LACP link aggregation (up to 12 LAGs), IGMP snooping, rate limiting, loop prevention, broadcast storm control, port mirroring, and cable test, all through a web GUI or the ProSAFE Plus utility.
