Product Description
The WAX620PA matches the WAX620 hardware and adds a 12V DC power adapter in the box, so the access point can be powered locally when a PoE source is unavailable. It runs 802.11ax WiFi 6 on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands in a 4x4 design that provides eight streams of data for up to 3.6Gbps aggregate throughput. WiFi 6 features including OFDMA, bidirectional MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, and Target Wake Time keep airtime efficient as many laptops, phones, and wireless presentation endpoints share the same access point. The single 100/1000/2.5GBASE-T port also supports 802.3at PoE, giving you the option of powering the unit over Ethernet later.
For commercial AV integrators, the WAX620PA delivers the capacity headroom for dense BYOD and wireless presentation environments while removing the dependency on an installed PoE switch. Enterprise security including WPA3 128-bit to 192-bit encryption, eight SSIDs, and VLAN support separates guest, corporate, and AV control traffic, and NETGEAR Insight provides remote provisioning, monitoring, and firmware management from a single pane of glass. The unit forms an Instant WiFi Mesh backhaul with other WAX620, WAC540, or WC564 units where cabling is impractical.
