Product Overview
The NETGEAR WAX620 is a high-performance dual-band WiFi 6 AX3600 access point with a 4x4 design for high-density commercial AV and IT wireless coverage. It delivers up to 3.6Gbps total throughput over a single 2.5G/Multi-Gigabit PoE+ port and is managed through NETGEAR Insight cloud with no on-site WiFi controller. The added spatial streams make it well suited to busy conference rooms, training rooms, and meeting spaces with many concurrent clients.
Product Description
The WAX620 runs 802.11ax WiFi 6 on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands in a 4x4 design that provides eight streams of data for up to 3.6Gbps aggregate throughput, roughly double the capacity of a 2x2 access point. WiFi 6 features including OFDMA, bidirectional MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, and Target Wake Time keep airtime efficient as many laptops, phones, and wireless presentation endpoints share the same access point. A single 100/1000/2.5GBASE-T port supports 802.3at PoE, carrying both power and a Multi-Gigabit uplink over one cable for clean ceiling or wall installation.
For commercial AV integrators, the WAX620 delivers the headroom needed for dense BYOD and wireless presentation environments where a standard access point would saturate. Enterprise security including WPA3 128-bit to 192-bit encryption, eight SSIDs, and VLAN support separates guest, corporate, and AV control traffic, while NETGEAR Insight provides remote provisioning, monitoring, and firmware management from a single pane of glass. The unit forms an Instant WiFi Mesh backhaul with other WAX620, WAC540, or WC564 units where cabling every location is impractical.
