The NETGEAR WAX610PA is a dual-band WiFi 6 AX1800 access point shipped with an included 12V DC power adapter for sites without PoE. It delivers up to 1.8Gbps total throughput, connects through a single 2.5G/Multi-Gigabit port, and is managed via NETGEAR Insight cloud with no on-site WiFi controller. The bundled adapter makes it a practical choice for commercial AV and IT wireless coverage where a PoE switch is not yet in place.
Product Description
The WAX610PA matches the WAX610 hardware and adds a 12V DC power adapter in the box, so the access point can be powered locally when a PoE source is unavailable. It runs 802.11ax WiFi 6 on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands in a 2x2 design providing four streams of data for up to 1.8Gbps aggregate throughput. WiFi 6 features including OFDMA, bidirectional MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, and Target Wake Time keep airtime efficient when many laptops, phones, and wireless presentation endpoints connect to the same access point. The single 100/1000/2.5GBASE-T port also supports 802.3at PoE, giving you the option of powering the unit over Ethernet later.
For commercial AV integrators, the WAX610PA delivers a dependable BYOD and wireless presentation experience in conference rooms and open workspaces while removing the dependency on an installed PoE switch. Enterprise security including WPA3, eight SSIDs, and VLAN support separates guest, corporate, and AV control traffic, and NETGEAR Insight provides remote provisioning, monitoring, and firmware management from a single pane of glass. The unit forms an Instant WiFi Mesh backhaul with other WAX610, WAX610Y, WAC540, or WC564 units where cabling is impractical.
