The NETGEAR WAX610 is a dual-band WiFi 6 AX1800 access point for commercial AV and IT wireless coverage in offices, conference rooms, and meeting spaces. It delivers up to 1.8Gbps total throughput over a single 2.5G/Multi-Gigabit PoE+ port and is managed through NETGEAR Insight cloud with no on-site WiFi controller. The compact ceiling- or wall-mount design keeps installations clean while supporting a high count of concurrent client devices.
Product Description
The WAX610 runs 802.11ax WiFi 6 on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands in a 2x2 design that provides four streams of data for up to 1.8Gbps aggregate throughput. WiFi 6 features including OFDMA, bidirectional MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, and Target Wake Time keep airtime efficient when many laptops, phones, and wireless presentation endpoints share the same access point. A single 100/1000/2.5GBASE-T port supports 802.3at PoE, carrying both power and a Multi-Gigabit uplink over one cable so a single drop powers the unit in a ceiling or wall location.
For commercial AV integrators, the WAX610 supports a dependable BYOD and wireless presentation experience in conference rooms and open workspaces. Enterprise security including WPA3, eight SSIDs, and VLAN support separates guest, corporate, and AV control traffic, while NETGEAR Insight provides remote provisioning, monitoring, and firmware management from a single pane of glass. The unit forms an Instant WiFi Mesh backhaul with other WAX610, WAX610Y, WAC540, or WC564 units where cabling every location is impractical.
