Netgear designed this 8-port Gigabit Smart Managed Pro switch for businesses that want flexible port counts and simple, centralized management. It provides configurable L2 networking features including VLANs and PoE operation scheduling, letting organizations deploy PoE-based VoIP phones and IP surveillance where supported. Advanced capabilities such as Layer 3 static routing, IPv6 management, ACLs, DiffServ QoS, LACP link aggregation, and Spanning Tree address the needs of more demanding small business networks. The switch adds Single Sign-On registration for firmware and security updates and warranty entitlement, plus remote cloud management through NETGEAR Insight. By activating Insight, administrators can configure and deploy the switch from anywhere using the NETGEAR Insight mobile app or the Insight Cloud Portal in any web browser. The fanless desktop form factor supports silent operation or wall mounting, and connects up to 8 devices over standard twisted-pair cabling.
