This 1U rack-mountable switch provides twelve 2.5G multi-gigabit RJ45 access ports plus two 10G SFP+ fiber ports for clean star-topology aggregation. The dedicated AV web GUI uses color-coded, port-based AV profiles so integrators can deploy networked audio and video signals without command-line configuration. Audio profiles include Dante, Q-SYS, AES67, and AVB (AVB license sold separately); video profiles include AMX SVSI, Crestron NVX, Q-SYS, NDI, and Dante. NETGEAR IGMP Plus, Auto-Trunk, and Auto-LAG simplify multicast and interconnect between M4250 switches. A full Layer 3 engine supports static, RIP, and PIM routing, a DHCP server, and PTPv2 clock synchronization. The switch shares a consistent L2/L3 engine and management model across the M4250, M4300, and M4500 families, and is managed through the AV GUI, an IT GUI, CLI, SNMP, sFlow, RSPAN, and NETGEAR NMS300.
