The Netgear GS108PP is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ unmanaged switch with a 123W total power budget. As an unmanaged switch, it requires no software, VLANs, or CLI configuration — connect it and it operates immediately. All eight Gigabit copper ports support PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at), delivering up to 30W per port to powered devices. It is a practical access-layer switch for powering IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points in commercial AV and small-business networks.

Product Description

The GS108PP provides eight Gigabit copper ports in a plug-and-play unmanaged design that auto-negotiates speed and uses Auto-MDI/MDIX to eliminate crossover cables. Every port supports PoE and PoE+, drawing on a 123W total power budget, and the switch includes Netgear FlexPoE so the budget can be set to 83W or 60W using separately purchased power supply modules. PoE power auto-balance allocates power to devices based on actual need rather than detected PoE class. The switch supports IEEE 802.1p and DSCP-based QoS to prioritize traffic such as voice and video, plus 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet to reduce consumption during light traffic. A non-blocking switching architecture forwards traffic at wire speed, and jumbo frame support handles larger payloads. The sturdy metal case mounts on a desktop, wall, or rack, operates quietly, and is backed by a Netgear Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty with Next Business Day replacement.
