The platform is sized for a small 4-inch round grille opening.
Product Description
This mounting platform sets the rough opening and backing surface for a Sonance Bandpass Subwoofer, letting the bandpass driver seat flush with 5/8" drywall rather than protruding into the room. Matching the platform to the correct wall thickness and finish material up front avoids a poor fit or visible gap around the finished 4-inch round grille. It is part of the AS Discreet system alongside compatible speaker accessories such as router templates and matching grilles sold at Creation Networks. Integrators typically order platforms to match wall or ceiling construction type on a per-room basis, since drywall thickness and solid-surface applications each require a different platform.
