The Middle Atlantic WUSS15.5 is a 15.5-inch deep wide unit shelf system for components too wide to fit the 17-3/8 inch inside width of standard rackshelves. It holds units up to 22-1/2 inches wide and either bolts into millwork or to the mounting angle of standard rackrail. The shelf occupies three rackspaces and ships complete with a pair of ears, bottom panel, and assembly hardware. It works with all Middle Atlantic enclosures except those that use Z-Rail.

Consumer AV receivers, amplifiers, and other oversized components frequently exceed the 17-3/8 inch inside width of a standard rackshelf, forcing awkward workarounds in custom installations. The Middle Atlantic WUSS15.5 wide unit shelf system solves the problem by holding components up to 22-1/2 inches wide on a purpose-built rackmount shelf. At 15.5 inches deep, it suits shallower wide-chassis gear; the WUSS family also includes 17.5-inch and 20.5-inch deep versions when more component depth is required. Installation is flexible: the shelf bolts into millwork for furniture and cabinetry projects, or attaches to the mounting angle of standard rackrail in equipment racks. A fully vented bottom promotes airflow around heat-producing components such as receivers and power amplifiers. Steel construction with a durable powder coat finish stands up to the weight of large-format equipment. The system occupies three rackspaces and arrives complete with a pair of ears, the bottom panel, and assembly hardware, so no extra parts are needed at install time. Note that this rackshelf works with all Middle Atlantic enclosures except those that use Z-Rail.
