The Middle Atlantic WUSS14 is a wide unit shelf system for rack installations, designed to hold components up to 22.5 inches wide that are too wide for standard 17.375-inch inside-width rackshelves. The 14-inch deep shelf occupies 3 rack spaces and can be bolted into millwork or to the mounting angles of standard rack rails. Fully vented bottom construction and steel powder coat construction make the WUSS14 a practical solution for oversize AV components in both rack enclosures and custom furniture installations.
Product Description
The WUSS14 wide unit shelf system solves the mounting challenge presented by AV components that exceed the standard 17.375-inch interior width of conventional rackshelves. Components such as wide-format media players, control systems, and consumer electronics equipment often fall in this category. At 14 inches deep and 3 rack spaces tall, the WUSS14 provides a stable, ventilated platform for these oversize units. The shelf can be bolted directly into millwork for AV furniture builds or attached to the mounting angles of standard rack rails for rack enclosure use. Note that the WUSS14 is not compatible with Z-Rail enclosures. The kit ships complete with a pair of ears, bottom panel, and assembly hardware, making it a complete solution. The fully vented bottom promotes airflow to components from below for thermal management in enclosed rack installations.
