The Middle Atlantic WUSS11.5 is an 11.5-inch deep Wide Unit Shelf System that racks components too wide for standard rackshelves. While conventional shelves are limited to a 17-3/8 inch inside width, the WUSS11.5 holds units up to 22-1/2 inches wide and occupies three rackspaces. It bolts into millwork or to the mounting angle of standard rackrail, making it equally at home in custom furniture and equipment racks.

Wide-chassis components such as consumer receivers, amplifiers, and source gear often exceed the inside width of a standard 19-inch rackshelf, leaving integrators without a clean mounting option. The Wide Unit Shelf System solves this by widening the usable platform to accept components up to 22-1/2 inches across. The WUSS11.5 is the shallowest model in the series at 11.5 inches deep, the right fit for compact wide-body gear and shallow credenza or millwork installations where the deeper WUSS15.5, WUSS17.5, and WUSS20.5 models will not fit. The shelf system installs two ways: bolt it directly into millwork for custom cabinetry projects, or attach it to the mounting angles of standard rackrail in an equipment rack. It works with all Middle Atlantic enclosures except those that use Z-Rail. A fully vented bottom keeps air moving around the installed component, and steel construction with a durable powder coat finish stands up to years of service. Each shelf system comes complete with a pair of ears, a bottom panel, and assembly hardware, so there is nothing extra to order. The unit occupies three rackspaces in a standard rack.
