The pivoting rail swings equipment away from the back pan, giving installers rear access to connections without removing mounted gear. It is compatible with both the 10-inch and 16-inch deep VWM back pans with door option. Rack rail options include both 10-32 threaded and cage nut mounting, covering standard AV and IT hardware preferences.
Product Description
The Middle Atlantic VWM-RR-PIV-4 pivoting rail and mounting bracket kit adds four rack spaces of serviceable equipment mounting to a VWM Series vertical wall mount enclosure. In a vertical wall mount installation, equipment faces sideways against the wall, which normally makes rear connections hard to reach once gear is in place. The pivoting rail solves this: the rail assembly swings outward on its mounting brackets, rotating mounted equipment away from the back pan so technicians can reach rear-panel connections during installation and service. The kit is designed for VWM back pans in both the 10-inch deep and 16-inch deep configurations with the door option, letting integrators match rail depth to the equipment being housed. Rack rail mounting is available in both 10-32 threaded and cage nut styles, so the kit accepts traditional threaded rack screws as well as cage-nut hardware common on network switches. As the 4-space member of the VWM pivoting rail family, this kit suits compact head-end gear, small switches, and AV-over-IP endpoints mounted behind displays or in shallow wall cavities. For fixed, non-pivoting mounting, the VWM adjustable rail kits are the alternative within the same VWM platform.
