Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic VTB-2 is a 2-space light-blocking vent panel that combines a high 64% open area for effective airflow with pre-installed light-blocking material that prevents internal rack wiring and components from being visible through the panel. Constructed from flanged steel with a flat black powder coat, the VTB-2 is used in AV rack installations where both thermal management and visual aesthetics require a vented panel that does not reveal the rack interior.
Product Description
Standard perforated vent panels provide airflow but allow light and the appearance of internal wiring to be visible from outside the rack, which is undesirable in high-visibility AV installations such as theaters, boardrooms, and showrooms. The VTB-2 resolves this with a high-open-area vent design (64% open area) paired with light-blocking material behind the perforations. This combination allows heat to escape the rack at a high rate while preventing the internal rack contents from being seen from the front. The flanged steel construction provides panel rigidity consistent with other Middle Atlantic panel products, and the flat black powder coat finish provides a clean appearance on the rack front. At 2 rack spaces, the VTB-2 fills two rack units while providing airflow management. The VTB series is also available in a 1-space configuration (VTB-1) for applications requiring a smaller vented area.
