Not every AV system calls for an enclosed cabinet. In huddle rooms, retail counters, classrooms, and residential media closets, a simple panel mount rack often delivers a cleaner and more serviceable result. The VPM-4 from Middle Atlantic provides 4 rack spaces (7 inches) of heavy-duty 10-32 threaded rack rail in an open format that accommodates all depths of equipment. Mount it horizontally beneath a work surface to keep switchers and power gear off the floor, or orient it vertically as a wall mount rack to flank a display or fit a shallow utility space. Because the frame is open, deep amplifiers and long chassis components that would not fit a shallow wall box mount without restriction. A dedicated hole for a safety screw is included for under-desk mounting, securing the assembly against accidental dislodging. For heavier loads or long components, two VPM-4 units can be paired to create stable 4-point front-and-rear mounting.
