The Middle Atlantic VPM-3 is a 3-space vertical panel mount rack for applications where a protective enclosure is not required. Its open-frame design accommodates all depths of equipment and installs either horizontally under a desk or table, or vertically as a wall mount. Heavy-duty 10-32 threaded rack rail provides a secure mounting surface for rack-mount components, panels, and power.
Product Description
Not every piece of rack-mount equipment needs a full enclosure. Small switches, power strips, interfaces, and patch panels often just need a solid pair of rails near the point of use — and the Middle Atlantic VPM-3 provides exactly that in a compact 3-rack-space format. Because the VPM series accommodates all depths of equipment, the open design imposes no depth limit: anything with a 19-inch rack flange can hang from the heavy-duty 10-32 threaded rack rail. Orientation is equally flexible. Mounted horizontally beneath a desk or table, the VPM-3 tucks equipment out of sight while keeping it serviceable; a dedicated hole for a safety screw secures gear in under-desk installations. Mounted vertically on a wall, it turns a shallow stretch of wall space into a functional equipment position without the footprint of a wall cabinet. For deeper or heavier components, a second VPM-3 can be paired at the rear of the equipment to provide stable 4-point mounting. The series scales with the job: the 2-space VPM-2 and 4-space VPM-4 use the same construction for smaller or larger equipment stacks. The VPM-3 is a simple, durable answer for furniture-integrated AV and compact equipment mounting.
