Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic VBK-WSA32 is a magnetized vent blocker kit for 32-inch deep WRK-SA series rack enclosures. The kit prevents hot air recirculation when top-mounted exhaust fans are in use, blocking upper vent openings on the front, sides, and rear so that heated air is forced out through the fan exhaust rather than short-circuiting back into the equipment intakes.
Product Description
In rack enclosures with top-mounted exhaust fans, heated air from equipment must be directed upward through the fans to exit the enclosure. If the upper vent openings on the front, sides, or rear of the enclosure are left open, the negative pressure created by the exhaust fans can pull air from these upper vents instead of drawing it from below the equipment — a cooling "short circuit" that reduces or eliminates the thermal benefit of the fans. The VBK-WSA32 vent blocker kit solves this by magnetically attaching to the enclosure's upper vent panels, blocking airflow at those locations. The magnetized design allows quick installation and removal without tools, and the kit pieces are pre-sized for WRK-SA series 32-inch deep enclosures without requiring trimming. The kit includes pieces to cover the top vents and side panel vents.
