Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic VBK-WSA27 is a magnetized vent blocker kit for 27-inch deep WRK-SA series rack enclosures. It prevents hot air recirculation by blocking upper vent openings on the enclosure front, sides, and rear when top-mounted exhaust fans are in use, directing heated air out through the fan exhaust path.
Product Description
The VBK-WSA27 is the 27-inch depth version of Middle Atlantic's WRK-SA series magnetized vent blocker kits. When top-mounted exhaust fans are installed in a WRK-SA enclosure, the negative pressure they create can pull cooling air from upper vent openings rather than drawing it from below the equipment — a thermal short circuit that prevents effective rack cooling. Blocking these upper vents forces cooler air to enter from the bottom of the enclosure, travel through equipment heat sinks, and exit through the top-mounted fans as intended. The magnetized pieces attach quickly without tools and are pre-sized for the 27-inch deep WRK-SA enclosure, requiring no trimming. The kit covers the upper front, upper sides, and upper rear door vents.
