The Middle Atlantic VBK-W27-W32 is a magnetized vent blocker kit sized for 27-inch and 32-inch deep WRK series rack enclosures. It blocks the upper top vents to prevent hot air recirculation when top-mounted exhaust fans are in operation, directing heated rack air out through the fan path rather than allowing it to short-circuit back to equipment intakes.
Product Description
The VBK-W27-W32 serves as a single part number vent blocker kit covering both the 27-inch and 32-inch depth variants of Middle Atlantic's WRK series rack enclosures. When top-mounted exhaust fans are installed in a WRK enclosure, blocking the upper vent openings is necessary to prevent cooling air short circuits. Without these blockers, the fans pull air from the upper vents near the fan opening rather than drawing cooler air from below the equipment, undermining the intended airflow path. The magnetized pieces attach to the enclosure vent panels quickly without tools and are pre-sized to cover the necessary vent sections. Unlike the WRK-SA version (VBK-WSA27/VBK-WSA32), this kit covers only the top vents — it does not include side panel vent covers.
