The Middle Atlantic VBK-V is a magnetized vent blocker kit sized for the VRK series enclosure. The kit prevents hot air recirculation between top-mounted exhaust fans and nearby vent openings, maintaining proper airflow direction through the rack to keep equipment operating within temperature limits.
Product Description
When top-mount exhaust fans are installed in a VRK series enclosure, uncovered upper vent openings on the front, sides, and rear door create a low-resistance air path that draws already-heated exhaust air back into the enclosure rather than pulling cooler air from below. The VBK-V covers these upper vents with pre-sized, magnetized panels that attach without tools and require no trimming. The kit includes the pieces needed to block top vents and rear door vents. Blocking these short-circuit paths forces incoming air to travel through the full equipment stack before being exhausted, lowering average equipment temperatures.
