Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic VBK-S32 is a magnetized vent blocker kit for SR-40-32 series rack enclosures. It blocks upper vent openings to prevent hot air recirculation when top-mounted exhaust fans are in operation, covering top vent and side panel vent sections.
Product Description
The VBK-S32 vent blocker kit is specifically sized and configured for Middle Atlantic's SR-40-32 rack enclosures. In enclosures with top-mounted exhaust fans, the fans create negative pressure that can pull already-heated air back in through upper vent openings near the top of the enclosure — a thermal short circuit. Placing vent blockers over these upper openings forces the fan to draw cooler air from below the equipment instead. The VBK-S32 uses magnetic attachment for fast tool-free installation and removal, and the kit pieces are pre-sized for the SR-40-32 enclosure without requiring cutting or trimming. The kit covers the top vent sections and side panel vents.
