The Middle Atlantic VBK-S28 is a magnetized vent blocker kit for 28-inch deep SR series rack enclosures. It blocks upper vent openings to prevent hot air recirculation when top-mounted exhaust fans are operating, covering top vents and side panel vents.
Product Description
The VBK-S28 is part of Middle Atlantic's family of magnetized vent blocker kits, each sized for a specific enclosure depth and series. This version is designed for 28-inch deep SR (Slim Rack) series enclosures. When top-mounted exhaust fans are installed in an SR rack, the upper vent openings on the enclosure front, sides, and rear can create a path for heated exhaust air to re-enter the equipment area rather than being drawn out through the fans. Blocking these openings with the VBK-S28 redirects the airflow properly, ensuring cooler air is drawn from below the equipment and heated air exits through the top fans. The kit pieces are magnetized for fast tool-free attachment and pre-sized to fit the 28-inch depth SR enclosure without cutting.
