Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic VBK-PTRK is a magnetized vent blocker kit for the PTRK series rack enclosure (standard depth), designed to prevent hot air recirculation when top-mount exhaust fans are in use. By covering upper vent openings on the front, sides, and rear door of the PTRK enclosure, this kit forces heated air out through the top-mounted fans rather than allowing it to re-enter the equipment intake area. The magnetized attachment makes installation and reconfiguration fast and tool-free.
Product Description
The VBK-PTRK provides the same function as the VBK-PTRK26 but is sized for the standard-depth PTRK enclosure rather than the 26-inch depth version. When top-mount fans create negative pressure at the top of the enclosure, hot exhaust air from equipment can be drawn back in through perforated vent panels near the top of the rack sides, front, and rear door. This creates an air short-circuit that dramatically reduces cooling efficiency and can lead to equipment overheating. The VBK-PTRK kit provides pre-sized magnetized panels that cover these upper vent positions, ensuring exhaust air exits through the fans as intended. The magnetized attachment means no tools are needed for installation or removal, and panels can be easily repositioned if the enclosure configuration changes. All pieces are pre-sized for the PTRK enclosure without field trimming.
