Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic VBK-D17 is a magnetized vent blocker kit sized for 17-inch deep DWR series enclosures. The kit covers upper vent openings that would otherwise allow hot exhaust air to recirculate back into the rack when top-mounted fans are running, ensuring proper bottom-to-top airflow through equipment.
Product Description
DWR series enclosures with top-mount exhaust fans develop airflow short circuits when upper vent openings on the front, sides, or rear door remain uncovered. The VBK-D17 provides pre-sized, magnetized panels that close these vent openings in a 17-inch deep DWR enclosure without tools and without trimming. The kit includes pieces to block top vents and side panel vents. Once the short-circuit paths are sealed, the fans draw air from the lower portion of the enclosure upward through the equipment stack, lowering average component temperatures and reducing thermal shutdowns.
