Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic USC-K is a remote wall plate keyswitch that initiates up/down power sequencing with key-controlled security. It connects to the Middle Atlantic USC-6R Universal Sequencing Controller through an RJ-45 jack and terminal block. This model does not include LED status indicators; the companion USC-KL adds LED status indication. The keyswitch also works with MPR-SEQ, MPR-SEQ-1C, and PDS Series power sequencing products.

Product Description

In shared and public spaces, system power should only be in authorized hands. The Middle Atlantic USC-K remote keyswitch wall plate restricts power sequencing control to keyholders, so only designated staff can bring an equipment rack up or shut it down. Turning the key initiates the remote up/down sequence on the connected controller, energizing amplifiers, processors, and sources in the proper order. Wiring is handled through a convenient RJ-45 jack and terminal block connection to the USC-6R Universal Sequencing Controller. Compatibility extends across Middle Atlantic sequencing products including MPR-SEQ, MPR-SEQ-1C, and the PDS Series. Unlike the USC-KL, this version omits LED status indicators for installations that need only the secured switch itself. Note that Decora-mount switches in this family mount only to Middle Atlantic products with Decora-shaped openings, such as compatible panels and racks. The USC-K is well suited to schools, houses of worship, courtrooms, and commercial venues where untrained users should not have access to system power.
