Product Description

UMS series shelves from Middle Atlantic are designed for half-rack applications, providing mounting for half-width components. When a UMS shelf position is unused or when one half of a shelf is occupied and the other is open, the UMSFP1-1/2 fills the vacant half-rack space. The panel serves two functions: cosmetically it provides a clean, finished appearance to the rack front, and functionally it prevents uncontrolled air from bypassing the equipment and disrupting the thermal management airflow pattern. The panel installs using the included 4-40 screws rather than standard rack screws, as it attaches to the UMS shelf framework rather than directly to the rackrail.
